Art in the City this summer
After meeting with great success since the month of November, the guided tour of the vast outdoor museum made up of the artworks associated with the tramway will continue. The premier winter event on the French Riviera, Carnival, ‘King of Masquerades’, is scheduled from 13 February to 1 March on Place Masséna for the Carnival Parades and on Promenade des Anglais for the Flower Parades (+)

5th meeting of professionals of tourism in Paris
Last 28 May, at a soiree in a prestige venue, the ‘Centre d’Architecture et du Patrimoine’, over a hundred professionals of business tourism and from the world of events as well as journalists attended. Airport and connections by air
• Nice Côte d’Azur and Lyon are the first airports certified for ‘customer quality’. This certification ensures that all the actions set up deliver the best possible service to customers.
• The arrival of the A380 to Nice for technical testing was a major event. The Airport is one of the few in France to be able to accommodate this new-generation jumbo aircraft.

• The Hi Hotel designed its beach, calling once again on Matali Crasset. Thus was born the Hi Beach
- L’Élysée Palace has been renovated to enter the era of modernity and refinement; everything that been restructured: the 3 restaurants, the bar, the garden, the lobby and today the panoramic terrace...
• On the edge of Old Nice, Les Marches is a new establishment of the lounge-bar type open until 2:30am. The attractive modern setting regularly hosts exhibitions of paintings or photographs.
• the famous Cave Bianchi has opened a new area for winegrowing expression in a neighbouring cellar, attractively decorated, to accommodate 40 to 50 guests.(+)

In summer
• Nice Jazz Festival from 19 to 26 July 2008 with exceptional programming for its 60th anniversary!
• Musicalia, the 10th Festival of world Mediterranean and World music, organized by the OTC. Three free concerts are scheduled for 2, 11, 13 20 and 23 August at the Théâtre de Verdure (Theatre in the Green) at the start of Promenade des Anglais.
• Musical Evenings at the Cloister of Cimiez (and other venues) or ‘Nice Festival Académie’ 2008 will be held from 16 July au 17 August
• La Castellada, a theatrical stroll on the Castle Hill retracing the great moments in the history of Nice. 19 July to 30 August, except Sunday, Monday and 15 August
• The reopening of the Fernand Léger National Museum in Biot is a major event, after many years of closure for renovation (+)
