The 2008 edition will take place from 19 to July 26, every night, from 19:30 with a unique programming to celebrate its 60 years!
Since 1974, when it moves into the gardens and arenas of Cimiez, the Mecca of culture in Nice, he became over time one of the earliest and its reputation is now worldwide.

• Musicalia, 10th Music festival of World music
“Théâtre de Verdure” in Nice

The month of August 2008 will mix high temperatures with animation! In the middle of the summer, the evenings will be full of entertainment and music.
Nice Convention and Visitors Bureau organizes, since 1999, “Musicalia”, a World music Festival. The event proposes in August a large diversity of flowered and free concerts, which will bring the perfumes and the colours of the warm lands.
This event welcomes each year about 25 000 spectators, seduced by the quality of the artistic performances and offers a good opportunity to meet different musical streams, which are not always accessible through the media.
As the previous years, Musicalia will take place in “Théâtre de Verdure”, one of the most beautiful open sky venues, located in the heart of the town, which will offer to its public an exotic test on summer evenings.

• The Fernand Lèger museum in biot is reopening after four years
After being closed for four years, the public will be able to both discover and rediscover not only the permanent collections but also a temporary exhibition entitled "La partie de campagne". The building now offers new reception areas as well as a new layout for the collection that is made up of around four hundred and fifty works covering the artist's different periods.
The museum will inaugurate the reopening with the exhibition "La partie de campagne" organised jointly by the Réunion des Musèes Nationaux and the Fernand Lèger museum. The exhibition title was that given by Fernand LÈger to several of the canvasses he realised towards the end of his life. The pencil drawings and studies tackle an evocative subject - that of leisure and paid holidays - that the Front Populairein a now historic law transformed into a major social event. Related to the social reforms of the thirties, the images the artist offers are to a great extent inspired by what he was able to observe himself at the end of every week : the departure of families, who almost as a ritual, went to the country to indulge in the pleasure of idleness and relaxation.
Museum opened every day, except on tuesday, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
