• "LE TRAIN DES MERVEILLES"
Designed and decorated by the "Région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur", this tourist train offers a visit of the Paillon valley, of the Roya - Bévéra region and the Mercantour National Park, home of the "Vallée des merveilles" or Valley of Wonders.
Take the time to admire the somptuous mountain landscapes through the specially rounded train windows and concoct ideas for future visits using the map which is supplied on board and gives details of different "attitude" itineraries :
- Sporting Attitude : hiking or horse-riding, mountain biking, canyoning, rafting, "via ferrata".
-Culture Attitude: baroque or medieval architecture of the villages, museums, rock paintings
- Discovery Attitude : flora and fauna conservation
- Goumet Attitude : sample and enjoy the local products

The rail track from Nice to Tende runs uphill, to reach an altitude of more than 1 000 m. 45 works of art : tunnels, spirals and viaducts have been built to cross a valley of perched villages overlooking the canyons.

Special TER rate from Nice to Tende : 10 Euros "la carte Isabelle" (valid from 1st July to 30th September).

Possibility of a guided tour on the 9h24 departure from Nice, on some days.

• LE TRAIN DES PIGNES
This historic steam train offers daily departures and stops in perched villages.
- Discover the chocolate factory of Villars-sur-Var, the statue de Maillol in Puget-Théniers.
- Don't miss the arrival of the Pénitents Blancs every 24th June
at the Chapelle de Saint-Jean-Désert close to Entrevaux, and the "dalle aux 1500 ammonites" in Digne.
- Have a try at hang gliding at the flying school of Saint- André-les-Alpes or walk along the ramparts of Entrevaux.
- Taste the sixty varieties of " charcuterie" proposed by the “Maison du Saucisson” of Saint-André-Les-Alpes, the AOC wine of “Clos Saint-Joseph” from Villars-sur-Var or " la Secca", culinary speciality from Entrevaux.
- Travel to Tibet via the visit of the Fondation Alexandra David Neel in Digne.
- Visit the geological reserve in Digne.
- Admire the decoration of the cathédrale Notre-Dame du Bourg in Digne (the work of an American artist, the impressive panorama, from the train, over the Viaduc des Méailles or les Grès d’Annot and the famous “Chambre du Roi”.
