La Cuisine Niçoise

" La table niçoise " has become a real art of living. Often compared to provençal or italian cooking, la Cuisine Niçoise (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) is ispired by colours and flavours of the south : salade niçoise, pissaladière(onion tart), pan-bagnat, pistou, farcis (stuffed vegetables), ratatouille and lots more ... This style of cooking makes the best possible use of local products. Olive oil is used in all dishes as well as herbs such as basil, garlic, thyme, or " la farigoulette " ...

The craetion of a brand "Cuisine Nissarde, resepcting tradition" was initiated by the Union Départementale des Offices du Tourisme et Syndicats d'Initiative des Alpes Maritimes in order to promote authentic local cooking. Restaurants bearing this brand present at least three niçois specialities on their menus.
Numerous French chefs of international renown and young chefs have chosen Nice. A large range of restaurants contribued to the prestige of French or Nicois cooking. menu ou suggestion au minimum trois spécialités niçoises.

Even if the French Riviera boasts the highest number of 3 star restaurants per square metre it is nonetheless possible to taste local specialities at all price levels, in a sophisticated setting or in the narrow streets of the old city.

A cookery workshop in a pleasant “kitchen-apartment”. Cookery lessons at a simple level in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, now its possible ! During the lesson you have chosen, we prepare a meal (around a product, a theme or a menu) which you will then taste in a pleasant setting. Groups are of maximum 8 persons per lesson, giving each participant the opportunity of taking part in the preparation of the meal and exchanging knowledge and questions.
