Nice has never been so close to home
This season, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport is offering even more destinations to passengers: 103 destinations (a number never achieved before at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport) including 6 new ones: Aalborg (Sweden), Bucharest Otopeni, Hanover, Nuremberg, Praia (Cape Verde), Tallinn (Estonia) and 57 airlines including 5 new ones: Estonian, Meridiana Fly (Italian), NIKI (Austrian), TACV (Cape Verde) and TAROM, (Rumania). This means a total of 1,219 weekly flights between Nice and the rest of the world! Welcome to Nice! (+)

The world of international tourism comes to Nice
In March, Nice hosted 850 worldwide tour operators and 650 exhibitors from the French regions for the fifth “Rendez-Vous en France” trade show organised by “Atout France”. A hundred French and international journalists – specialists in the leisure press – also travelled to the show. The Nice Tourist and Congress Office and the Côte d'Azur Tourist Authority pulled out all the stops to make a success of this international show, which was honoured by the presence of two ministers, and to organise exclusive preview tours. Gala dinners prepared by great local chefs were also an opportunity to show off the creativity and know-how of the many local partners associated with the event (hoteliers, florists, Congress Centre, guides, etc.).

Summer events diary
• Celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Union of the County of Nice with France: 14 June 2010 is the 150th anniversary of Nice’s attachment to France.
• Festival Crazy Week offers five evenings clearly focused on modern music (rock, reggae, rap, pop, folk ...) from 6 to 10 July at the Théâtre de Verdure (+)
• 53ème Académie Internationale d'été de Nice et Les Concerts du Cloître : 13 july to 16 august (+)
• Nice Jazz Festival: 17 to 24 July 2010 in the Cimiez gardens and bull ring: (+)
• Prom'Party: Free musical entertainment on the Promenade des Anglais, which goes pedestrian for the occasion, on 9, 14, 23 and 31 July and 6, 15, 20 and 28 August. Two firework displays are planned for 14 July and 15 August.
• Unighted by Cathy Guetta: the major show of summer 2010, at the Charles Erhmann stadium, Nice, on the night of 7 August. 40,000 people will be dancing all night to the frenzied rhythms offered by 4 of the world’s greatest DJs! Will you be ready for 7 hours of wild concerts?

Nice, a city that loves receiving guests and congresses
• Welcome to the 3,000 Telemanagement Forum congress members: Nice will be hosting the 2010 TM Forum Management World from 18 to 20 May. This is the major global communication management event, which focuses on the creation, delivery, management and monetisation of information, communication and entertainment services. (+)
• Welcome to the France-Africa summit: the summit will be bringing African and French heads of state to Nice (31 May and 1st June).
• Welcome to the 4,000 Cardiostim congress members.Cardiostim 2010 will be taking place in Nice from 16 to 19 June and will be revealing the major technological advances that are the fore-runners of a new era in the treatment of patients suffering from heart problems. (+)
