1 RUSSIAN CATHEDRAL
Avenue Nicolas 2
The Emperor Nicolas 2 was partly responsible for financing its construction.
Inaugurated in 1912, the cathédrale Saint Nicolas presents a superb harmony of pink bricks, light grey marble and brightly coloured ceramic. Crowned by six "onion-shaped" domes, it contains superb treasures : icons, woodwork and frescoes..
Inspired by St. Basil's Cathedral on the red square in Moscow, it is a reminder of the era when Russian aristocrats came to spend winter in Nice.

2 Le CHÂTEAU des OLLIÈRES

This château was the residence of Prince LobanovRostowsky.
Its current owner has transformed it into a hotel-museum.
3 FINE ARTS MUSEUM

The museum is housed in the residence of the Ukrainian princess Kotschoubey, built in 1878 in the italian style of the early 17th century. The art collections include the Paris school, the 17th century Italian school, Dutch landscapes, 18th century French and Italian, impressionists and postimpressionists. Modern art is also represented with Raoul Dufy and Van Dongen.
4 HOTEL NEGRESCO
Promenade des Anglais
This was the hotel of Russian princes before the first world war. Under the impressive glass roof, the imposing baccarat crystal chandelier is identical to one in the Kremlin.
In its style reminscent of the Belle Epoque, the Negresco was built by Edouard Niermans in 1912 for the Romanian Henri Negresco. This property, whose renown extends worldwide is the only palace-museum in Nice. Its style reflects a certain art of living rich in French, tradition, hospitality and service. It is classified as a historical monument.
5 RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH
Rue Longchamp
This is the oldest church of its kind outside Russia. It was built before the attatchment of the Comté de Nice to France and inaugurated on 12th January 1860.
The place of worship is situated on the first floor in order to avoid conflict with the local religious authorties of the time (Roman Catholicism).
The church can be visited every Wednesday, by those attending a service.
On the ground floor, there is a library (opened in 1860) which opens onto the "rue du docteur Michel Rosanoff", a Russian doctor whose high level of competence and dedication were appreciated by several generations of Russians and Niçois alike.
6 VILLA GEORGE
10, bd Dubouchage
The Princess Youriewsky lived and died here in 1922. She was the widow of Emperor Alexandre 2. The villa still shows signs of its past splendour with its entrance way and porch.
7 HÔTEL PENSION l'OASIS

Lenin himself as well as Anton Tchékhov, SaltykovChtchédrine and Vladimir NemirovitchDantchenko all stayed in this small hotel.

In the park, the isba with its ancient Slavonic inscriptions was dismantled and transported by boat from Odessa to Nice.
10 CIMETIÈRE RUSSE de CAUCADE
Avenue Sainte Marguerite
This cemetry was created in 1867 and named after the Grand Duc Nicolas Alexandrovitch. The most important names of the Russian nobility can be found on the gravestones.
